Descending, to the dark depths beneath the castle
Revealed by, the shifting of the earth
Forging on, now I must solve the mysteries
Unveiled here, beneath my ancestral home
Once again I feel the earth, move beneath my feet
Leading further, deeper, how far I’ve yet to see
Ancient ornate tapestries, line the great stone walls
The creatures depicted there, I fear they roam these halls
On and on, through the dark I keep moving forth
No sun no stars, sense of time has been lost
Markings found, along these walls tunneled deep. They show,
Rituals, of some lost ancient art
Once again I feel the earth move beneath my feet
Leading further, deeper, how far I’ve yet to see
Falling through the tunnel floor I'm shocked to be alive
Rising up I scan the walls and further my surprise
Caverns carved out far and wide like some great feasting hall
The length of which goes on so far, the end escapes my light
Movements stir from the next room
Cautiously I move ahead
Frightful noises getting louder
Strange creatures are suspended
In the air, before me sensing a new way to the surface, they charge
I flee in terror from these creatures behind me
Their gelatinous bodies rebel against gravity
Cosmic forces released upon an abandoned earth
We are not alone, but something far worse
Once again I feel the earth move beneath my feet
Praying that it seals below what never should be freed
Sacrifice myself I will to prevent their release
Death or life, my mind is gone, never to find peace
Spying light ahead of me, an exit I might find
Escape the cave collapsing, sealing foul creatures behind
Descending, through the dark depths beneath the castle
Revealed by, the shifting of the earth
Forging on, now I have solved the mysteries
Unveiled here, beneath my ancestral home
I have seen, more than any man should
I alone, know what lies beneath
Memories, this horror to my grave I'll take
Pray will I, that it never re-awake
